Support older Tasmanians to stay in their own homes longer.

Anglicare Tasmania is looking for casual and permanent part-time Home Care Cleaners to support older people in their homes across Tasmania

We provide programs relating to ageing and disability, health, housing, families, drug and alcohol treatment and support and more.

About the Role:

As a Home Care Cleaner, you will work with clients to help them clean their homes. The client will tell you what needs to be cleaned, and you will do the work together. This helps them to stay independent and continue living in their own homes. Some tasks you may help with include:

  • house cleaning
  • laundry
  • ironing
  • washing dishes
  • shopping Clients are involved in choosing what cleaning needs to be done. Where possible, you will work together with the client so they can take part in light cleaning tasks. This helps build their confidence and independence.

The successful applicant will be required to:

  • provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category)
  • present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
  • provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
  • provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical:
  • provide a current Driver Licence.
  • obtain a reliable vehicle

Services are delivered between 9am and 3.30pm, Tuesday to Friday.
